Today we welcome Carlos Molina to our ranks, as the new Director of Coffee. “We’re excited that Carlos is here, bringing with him a lot of experience,” says Parks Coffee President Randy Parks.
Carlos hails from Guatemala, but got his start in the coffee world 23 years ago, while living in Baton Rouge, LA. In 1994 he was unloading coffee sacks from trucks, typically 3-4 trucks each day. Over the years he “asked a lot of questions” and worked his way up to Roastmaster of Community Coffee, a position he held for 14 years. Carlos studied Green Coffee Traffic and Logistics and is a licensed Q Grader, a distinguished moniker as in 2016 there were only 550 people in America who had earned this status through the Coffee Quality Institute.
Carlos Molina lives with his wife Dina and their daughter Marie Claire, 6.
