Parks Coffee breaks ground on new roasting facility

Parks Coffee Roasting Facility, Ground BreakingSpring is upon us here in North Dallas. The air is crisp, leaves are unfurling, and flowers are beginning to bud. As we are ushering in a new season — one of renewal, of growth, and of change — in the world outside, we exuberantly announce a monumental step in the growth of our own company.

Parks Coffee has officially broken ground on a new roasting facility, to be located beside our main headquarters in Carrollton, Texas. The new 50,000-square-foot, three story building located at 1401 MacArthur Drive, will boast open space for packaging, three coffee roasters – including a new, custom-built industrial roaster – plus tasting, training, office, social and retail spaces.

In 2009, we expanded our headquarters to include a 35,000sf office/warehouse space. The Dallas campus also includes our corporate office, current roasting and repair/service building, Guardian Water Systems facility, and Parks Pantry warehouse facility.

sma+architects designed the building. Raymond Construction is serving as construction manager on the project. Construction of the facility is expected to be completed later this year.
